Biography:

Steve Seaber was the Chief Fire Officer for Hertfordshire from 2000 - 2005. He was a Director of CFOA, acting as the spokesperson on water suppression systems.

He now works as an independent consultant for a number of organisations in the fields of fire risk management and fire suppression systems, including BRE/LPCB and Lubrizol and represents the latter on BAFSA Technical Committee and Council and the European Fire Sprinkler Network (EFSN) Technical Committee. He is also a member of the National Fire Sprinkler Network (NFSN) Executive.

In 2010, he was appointed by BAFSA as the Project Manager on the retrofit of a sprinkler system to a high rise social housing block in Sheffield. The project completed in September 2011 was designed to provide evidence of the practicability and true cost of installing such a system.
