Visitors will need to get to grips with an Xbox Kinect games console for a chance to win at the NEC, from 16-19 May.

The fire safety company is also to showcase its new emergency lighting system, which uses light emitting diode technology.

Manufactured in the UK, Hochiki Europe’s emergency lighting system comprises an addressable emergency lighting control panel with battery back-up, and features addressable, self-contained LED luminaires and signage connected via low voltage (40V) cabling. The luminaires have also been equipped with battery back-up, while the units fit directly onto a standard Hochiki sensor base.

Visitors will also get the opportunity to take a glimpse into the future, Hochiki said, with its working prototype of an integrated fire detection and emergency lighting system which operates via the same communications cable. This is a concept that marks the beginning of a "new era” for fire detection and lighting, the company said.

Hochiki will also launch its fully integrated radio-based fire detection system at the show as well as a new infrared flame detector. A conventional device, the detector will form part of the company’s CDX range of standards compliant products that claim to "virtually eliminate" unwanted alarms. Other highlights will include a new range of input/output modules and the SmartFix+ range of fire cabling.
