London fire crews spent 14 hours battling to extinguish 100 tonnes of rubbish that caught fire on Tuesday night.
The waste is thought to have been piled between the Edmonton Incinerator and a Thames Water plant.
Around 20 firefighters tackled the blaze, using a water relay and a mechanical digger to isolate pockets of fire.
Surrounding buildings were not damaged, a spokesman from the London Fire Brigade confirmed.
An investigation is ongoing.
