Video smoke detection system and control panel launches

28 March 2011

Fike detection range

Fike will be launching its new SigniFire video image detection system which provides early detection of smoke and flames. Images from the cameras can also be monitored and recorded in the usual way for surveillance purposes.

Fike says that in independent testing, the SigniFire system has been shown to provide dependable yet faster response to traditional detectors in a wide range of scenarios, and that the system comes into its own in large open spaces, where fewer installed devices are needed.

Also being launched is the company’s new TwinFlex Pro control panel. Available for two, four or eight zones, each with up to 32 devices, it is designed for easy installation in conjunction with detectors that feature integral sounders. A delay feature is provided which can be used to prevent a single detector from triggering a system-wide alarm for a preset period.

For larger installations, Fike is showing Duonet panels that support two loops, and Quadnet panels that support up to four loops. In both cases, up to 200 devices can be addressed on each loop.

Fike detection and alarm systems will be on Stand G15.
