Victaulic, manufacturer of mechanical pipe joining systems, is showcasing a range of LPCB-approved products for fire protection installations at Firex North, today and tomorrow. (27-28 October).
They include the Victaulic FireLockEZ Style 009H Rigid Coupling, launched in the UK earlier this year. The redesigned Style 009H Rigid Coupling for fire protection piping systems has been designed so it can be installed without power tools.
It is available in DN32 - DN100 (42.4-114.3mm) sizes and has been approved by BRE Global.
Visitors who want to have a go at installing the coupling should make their way to the compnay's stand, C40.
Also on display is the BRE-approved Series 769 Preaction Alarm Valve. The device operates at pressure up to 300psi/2065 kPa and comes available with several release mechanism options. It has been designed for use in data centres, storage areas for valuable items and libraries.
Other Victaulic products on display and in demonstration at Firex North include risers, sprinklers and a cut-grooving tool for pipe preparation.
