Triple Flipper compartment seal on show at fire safety event23 March 2011Pyroplex is to showcase its newly released compartmentation product at International Firex. The fire containment systems company will display the Triple Flipper, a fire door seal. The product has been manufactured as a single component using thermal fusion to ensure the flippers will not easily detach under the wear and tear of everyday use, according to Pyroplex. Polymer flippers also provide a “low surface coefficient,” designed to reduce opening and closing forces. The Triple Flipper Seal has been tested to BS476 Part 22: 1987 in relation to fire resistance and BS476: Part 31.1: 1983 for smoke performance.
