Elta’s SmokeVent axial fans and JetVent impulse fans have been approved by the LPCB to the smoke and heat control systems standard, BS EN 12101-3.

Elta says its axial and impulse fans are widely used in enclosed car park applications, providing efficient day to day ventilation but also ensuring effective smoke ventilation in the event of a fire.

Alan Macklin, group technical manager at the Elta Group, said: “The introduction and implementation of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order has placed the onus for fire safety on the responsible person...We recognise that this person may well have no specific experience in fire safety measures so employing products which have been tested and approved by an independent third party certification body is an excellent way of ensuring that they do meet the relevant standards.”
