| Devices have to cope with different temperatures |
A new open protocol fire system has been fitted at a warehouse, refrigeration and office facility belonging to supermarket chain Netto.
The system consists of Apollo devices, including beam detectors in the warehouse. These are linked to an Advanced Electronics four-loop Mx-4400 panel with repeaters, with an Mx-4010 remote display terminal being installed at the security gatehouse.
The equipment was supplied by ADI Global Distribution and installed by Bradford based Barker Electrical.
“The different areas of the facility created the need for multiple solutions,” said Vince O’Malley, ADI fire sales executive. “For instance, some areas of the warehouse operate at different temperatures, ranging from -5oC to -30oC. We therefore had to choose the devices carefully to meet the different temperature regimes without causing false alarms.”
