Firefighters record Sugababes track to highlight safety - VIDEO20 October 2010Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service has recorded a song to the tune of the Sugababes hit single, Push the Button. Firefighters hope the video will get people to check if their smoke alarms work properly, as part of its Push the Button campaign. Members of the Service can be seen singing along to the track with lyrics like: “Want your family and home for keeps? You better push your button, check it bleeps, before you get a fire, through it creeps, takes your family while you sleep.” Chief fire officer, Peter Dartford, said: "We’re continually trying new and innovative ways to get the message out there, about the importance of having smoke alarms and checking them on a regular basis."    |
