Wiltshire firefighters spent around four hours putting out a blaze in an animal feed cooler in Calne.
Around 20 firefighters tackled the fire, on 24 May, at Porte Marsh Industrial Estate. Arriving at the scene around 9.35 pm, crews faced a ‘significant’ fire which needed four pumpling appliances to extinguish as well as an aerial appliance.
Support was also provided by the Hazardous Area Response Team from Great Western Ambulance Service.
A spokesman form Wiltshire Fire and Rescue service said: “The fire was contained within the cooler but thorough checks were needed of the ducting and ventilation systems to check for any hotspots or unseen fire spread.
“The cooler was manually emptied of approximately two tonnes of product and crews remained on scene until around 1.30 am.”
