Assured Fire and Security is to install fire protection systems in River Island stores across the Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

The company is to provide fire alarms, emergency lighting and sprinkler maintenance as well as upgrading existing fire safety in all of the clothing retailer’s stores.

It will also continue to work on maintenance and sprinkler systems for branches throughout the UK, having extended an existing contract.

Managing director Simon Stokes said: “The extension of our relationship with River Island further strengthens our strategic plan to become the number one independent fire and security company in the UK.”

“We are well on course to meet our growth target of 37 per cent for 2010 even though we are only half way through the year.”
