Fire safety legislation helps consultancy to record results02 November 2011Prosecutions under the Fire Safety Order have helped fire safety consultancy C S Todd & Associates post record results. Both turnover and profits for the financial year 2010-2011 were at the highest since the practice was founded in 1982, the firm reports. Colin Todd, managing director of the practice, told info4fire: “Obviously, in the current economic climate, we are absolutely delighted with these results, which are due to the hard work and loyalty of the entire team, as well as the excellent long-term relationship we enjoy with our major corporate clients. We are also assisted by the diversity of the practice, which extends across all aspects of fire safety, fire engineering, and fire protection systems. “The ill-wind of prosecutions under fire safety legislation has also blown a great deal of work in our direction, as we are now constantly engaged as expert witnesses for both defendants and enforcing authorities.”
