The Phoenix range has been made from 316L stainless steel and is described as corrosion resistant.
Ellis Patents managing director, Richard Shaw, said: “In order for cables to continue working in an emergency they need to remain not just intact, but in place - something that simply can’t be guaranteed without the use of restraints that have the same fire resistant properties as the cables they are restraining.”
The cable manufacturer developed the product in close conjunction with Exova Warringtonfire, BRE and its main UK distributor ETS Cable Components.
The cables were tested with exposure to fire, impact and water spray.
“The risks caused by not properly restraining fire rated cables are obvious – the loss of vital services and the likelihood of live cables falling and causing additional, dangerous hazards,” Mr Shaw said.
Ellis Patents’ Phoenix range is available in 11 sizes, ranging from 10 to 65mm, and has a single bolt fixing.
