Calcium silicate board has been used to provide up to 60 minutes’ fire resistance at the ‘7 More London’ riverside project overlooking Tower Bridge.
Over 5000m2 of Promat Supalux Shaftwall board has been installed by Fireclad Limited to protect the building’s lift shaft walls and risers. The product’s enhanced moisture resistance meant it could be installed before the building was water-tight, says Promat UK, allowing earlier access to other trades and reducing the overall duration of construction.
Promat also supplied more than 1500m2 of TL board which was used to provide thermal insulation for the underground car park area.
When complete, the 650,000ft2 shell and core office development at 7 More London Riverside will house the London headquarters of PricewaterhouseCoopers.
