Fire and Rescue 2010 opens tomorrow

28 June 2010

False alarm solutions for HMOs, developments in Hazmat training, and the use of lifts during evacuation are just three of the free seminar sessions on offer at Fire and Rescue 2010 this week.

The event, which opens tomorrow in Harrogate and runs for two days, provides visitors with the opportunity to see some of the latest equipment and services, take advantage of three different seminar strands, and network with colleagues from around the UK.

Best practice in fire and rescue will be showcased with presentations on arson reduction initiatives, command support at national incidents, and a workforce engagement project. Other seminar sessions include fighting compartment fires with water mist, the use of powder based Class A foam for wildfires and using compact fire and rescue vehicles.

Fire and Rescue 2010 is at the Harrogate International Centre and runs from 29-30 June. Click for more information.
