Around 30 caravans, nine motor homes and a single-storey building have been damaged in a large fire at a caravan workshop in Upminster, Essex.
Some 40 firefighters tackled the blaze after being called at around 8.15 am yesterday. A number of gas cylinders were involved, so around 30 residents were evacuated from nearby homes as a precaution. The fire was under control after three and a half hours.
Three freight containers and a car were also damaged. No one was injured in the blaze, though there are reports that two women were treated for shock on the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
