Eurotech introduces fire detector to reduce false alarms

28 October 2010

A new dual optical fire detector which prevents false alarms from sources such as steam, aerosols and dust, is on show at Firex North.

Eurotech Fire Systems’ Dual Wavelength Optical Detector is making a ‘live’ appearance at this year’s fire safety show, in Manchester Central 1, from 27-28 October.

The company has demonstrated its product live throughout the show.

A spokesman said: "With modern buildings providing increasingly complex challenges to fire detection systems through the presence of steam, aerosol sprays, hot air dryers and even dust, Eurotech offers a detector which meets the challenge of effective fire detection and eliminates unwanted alarms.

"All of Eurotech’s products are supplied under the new MESH protocol offering a single, fully approved brand without installers and their customers being tied into on-going maintenance contracts."
