Enforcement and legal experts to head up free seminars at International Firex11 March 2011Fire safety enforcement and legal proceedings will take centre stage at a special seminar and panel debate at the Info4fire Learning Zone at International Firex, 16-19 May. The panel session: See You in Court? Fire safety enforcement issues forms part of the most comprehensive, free to attend seminar programme ever seen at the event, with no less than four separate seminar areas to choose from. Speakers on the enforcement and legal panel session will be Jonathan Herrick, fire safety policy manager at West Midlands Fire and Rescue Service, Nick McMahon, partner at Reynolds Chamberlain Porter solicitors, and fire safety consultant Colin Todd, who has appeared as an expert witness in a number of high profile court cases. Other seminar sessions in the Info4fire Learning Zone – held in association with the Fire Industry Association – will cover the competency of fire risk assessors, an introduction to managing fire safety in buildings using BS 9999, developments in emergency lighting, and fire safety in residential care homes.
