Audio manufacturer TOA has unveiled what it claims to be the world’s first total solution for a voice alarm system certified to the EN54 range of product standards.

The line up consists of the VM-3000 public address and voice alarm control system (certified to EN54-16); speakers including the PC-1867FC flush mounted ceiling and the BS-680FC wall-mounted public address speakers (EN54-24); and the VX-2000DS power supply (EN54-4).

Wolfgang Pein, director for German sales at TOA Europe, said the company believes the new standards will change the face of the industry for voice alarm equipment in European and international markets. He said:

“An increasing importance for fire detection and alarm systems in combination with voice alarm systems will pave the way for greater public security. We will be continually offering guidance on the EN 54 standard for our distributors, installers and users in order to help them in planning future systems and investments in compliant products.”
