Dual optical multi-sensors from Nittan

20 January 2010

Two new multi-sensor detectors with dual optical technology have been launched by Nittan.

The EV-DPH-A1R also incorporates an A1R (54OC) heat detector and the EV-DPH-CS a CS (90OC) heat detector. As such, the units are capable of monitoring two different by-products of a fire – smoke and heat – so, says Nittan, the response to all fire types is significantly improved when compared with single sensor type units.

Nittan multi-sensorBoth sensors are suitable for areas where risks are undetermined or variable, or where false alarms may be a particular problem, explains the company. The EV-DPH-CS is particularly suited to areas with a high ambient temperature.

Approved to EN54-5:2000 + A1:2002 and EN54-7:200 + A1:2002 + A2:2006, the EV-DPH-A1R and EV-DPH-CS multi sensors are the latest additions to Nittan’s Evolution range of analogue addressable products.
