The annual Manufacturing Excellence Awards, held this year at London’s Dorchester Hotel, aims to recognise companies for their skills in industry, like efficiency and customer service.

Scooping a top award for its process in the Technology Strategy Board Award for Process Innovation category, Draeger fought off competition from BAE Systems Submarine Solutions. In second place, BAE received a ‘Highly Commended’ award.

Managing director of Draeger Safety, Dave Richardson, said: “At Draeger, we work very hard to understand our customers’ requirements and, out of that intimate market insight, our products and services are developed and continually refined. The processes, innovation and manufacturing industry best practices that we employ have to be second to none. For that reason I am absolutely delighted that the hard work of all of our staff has been recognised at such a prestigious event - and by such an eminent panel of judges”.

Products in Draeger’s range include half and full face respirators, compressed air breathing apparatus, safety spectacles and goggles, portable and fixed gas detection systems, thermal imaging cameras and protective helmets.
