Detection and suppression at college campus

21 July 2009

Smoke detection and fireSkills Xchange campus suppression are among the features of a fire protection system installed by Chubb Fire at the new Skills Xchange campus at Wakefield College.

A fully addressable detection and alarm system also sends text alerts to designated mobiles should an alarm sound. Repeater panels on each floor allow the alarm to be reset from any part of the building.

A combination of high sensitivity air sampling detection, optical, heat and multi-sensor detectors, and manual call points have also been installed.

The IT facility is protected with an FM200 gaseous suppression system.
