The centre is a hub for maintenance

A new aircraft maintenance centre in Malta has been equipped with a 12-loop analogue addressable fire detection and alarm system control panel from Kentec.

The Lufthansa Technik centre – which covers an area of 27,000m2 and can accommodate two wide-body aircraft and two narrow-body planes simultaneously – serves as a maintenance, repair and overhaul hub in a joint venture with Air Malta.

The control panel is connected to more than 1,500 Hochiki devices, supported by the company’s open data protocol. Remote interrogation and control of the Syncro systems is via Kentec’s VIEW repeater unit.

This system was installed by Fire-Tech of Malta.
