CPD seminars on aspirating detection standard03 August 2010
A series of seminars on the implications of the new European product standard for aspirating smoke detectors is available from Wagner UK. The CPD seminars are aimed at designers, installers and consultants to better understand the implications of EN54 part 20. The standard encompasses both the project design and the ASD systems installed. The standard, explains Wagner, introduces three classes for detector sensitivity, Class A (high sensitivity), B (enhanced sensitivity) and C (normal sensitivity), allowing designers and installers to select the most suitable solution for their application. Class C, normal sensitivity, is equivalent to traditional point detection. Class A and B provide much earlier smoke detection for more critical and demanding applications. The hour-long sessions can be delivered at a client’s premises or at Wagner’s offices, where their demonstration facilities can be used. For information email Wagner UK or call 0870 333 6116.
