CORRECTION: Smoke alarm testing advice28 December 2011In our story about fire safety advice over the festive period Don't drink and fry this Christmas (14 December), we mistakenly added the word 'not' to the advice on testing smoke alarms weekly. The sentence should, of course, have read: "Some of the advice includes buying food on the way back from a night out, rather than cooking yourself, making sure cigarettes are completely extinguished, and testing smoke alarms weekly."
