A museum collection housing classic cars from the 1950s has been destroyed in a fire. Around 30 firefighters tackled the blaze last week at the privately owned Cae Dai museum near Denbigh.
Appliances from four fire stations as well as an incident command unit responded, with firefighters using two main jets and two sets of breathing apparatus to tackle the fire.
A 56 year old man was taken to hospital by ambulance as a precautionary measure to be treated for possible smoke inhalation.
The museum specialises in classic vehicles and other exhibits from the 1950s and it is thought that all the vehicles were destroyed in the fire. The museum also had a mock up of a 50s kitchen, a Teddy Boys ‘Milk Bar', caravans and a repair garage.
A man was arrested in connection with the fire and subsequently released on bail. The investigation into the fire is continuing.
