Chubb renews Scout fire safety badge support

08 February 2010

Chubb Fire has confirmed it is renewing its sponsorship of the Scout fire safety badge for a further three years. The sponsorship of the badge aims to raise awareness of fire safety among Scouts and their families across the UK.

More than 72,000 Scouts have passed the fire safety badge since its introduction six years ago. The badge requires them to understand what causes a fire, how to call the fire and rescue service, and to understand fire blanket and extinguisher usage, as well as fire safety for the home.

Chubb supports the scheme with literature and posters, as well as demonstrations by staff from its network of branches across the UK. There is also a new online resource pack for Scouts and their leaders.
