Security and fire protection services provider – Chubb – has created a virtual university.
The learning facility will develop managers helping them graduate with an internationally-recognised degree.
Its first 100 managers, from the UK, are spending the next 12 months on a leadership development programme before having the chance to study towards a two-year foundation degree in leadership.
The programme is being delivered by development organisation Acua, with accreditation awarded by its partner Coventry University.
David Millett, head of learning and development at Chubb, said: “Chubb is serious about growing its business and being the number one provider of fire and security solutions in the UK and, in doing so, investing in the development of its people.
“The leadership development programme underlines Chubb’s commitment to providing high-quality accredited training for its workforce, which already includes our successful apprenticeship scheme and employee scholarship programme.”
The programme is designed to support managers in developing themselves and their teams and is aimed at improving efficiency, performance and the ability to respond to change in the business.
