Building managers offered bespoke floorplan service09 July 2010Those responsible for fire safety in buildings are being offered a service to make up bespoke and detailed evacuation plans by new company, Fire Safety Floor Plans.
The building plans, built using CAD software, can include locations of fire call points, emergency exits and extinguishers. It is designed to offer information to users who might be unfamiliar with a building’s layout, for example, in hospitals or hotels. Noel Sexton of Fire Safety Floor Plans, said: “Depending on whether there are any existing plans for the property, we would make an on-site visit to measure and draw the property. We would then draw this onto our CAD programme and add fire safety aspects. “If the property already has some existing floorplans, then these can be redrawn and updated with no onsite visit required and alterations [made] to the specification of the client.” Previous clients have included Taunton School and Perrot Hill School in Somerset.
