Almost 90% say fire safety fines are too low or about right03 September 2010In spite of recent high levels fines for breaches of fire safety legislation, only 12% of people think they are too high, according to a recent poll on Info4fire. Asked what they thought about the level of fines being imposed under the Fire Safety Order in the light of the Court of Appeal judgement confirming the £400,000 penalty on New Look, 47% of visitors said they are about right, with 41% saying they are still too low.
