Addressable system for Liverpool One

15 November 2009

One of the main stores at the new Liverpool One retail development has been fitted with a fire detection and alarm system from Notifier by Honeywell.

Debenhams at Liverpool OneCrane Communications fitted the four-storey 130,000 ft2 Debenhams store with a Notifier ID3000 fire alarm panel and 600 detection devices. The system covers the retail space, restaurants, warehouse space and offices.
The system also incorporates around 200 addressable loop sounder beacons throughout the site. The Notifier panel is integrated with the store’s safety and security system.

“As [the addressable loop sounder beacons] do not rely on conventional circuits, this significantly reduces cable runs, impacting positively on both system reliability and cost,” said Crane’s systems manager, Ken Burns. “The ID3000 provides an easy-to-manage, centralised point of control by linking to more than 90 separate interfaces, including intruder alarms, CCTV inputs and door access.”
