ES Equipment is to showcase its S-Cut series, designed for front line services in “all emergencies.” The series has been designed for use on leather belts, zippers and heavy outerwear as well as ordinary fabrics.
It has also been tested by the accident and emergency unit at Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Sweden, where a survey conducted last year found that 99 out of 100 personnel wanted the S-Cut to be included as standard equipment in ambulances.
Greger Nilsson at the hospital’s coordinator trauma unit, said: “Of the many tools we’ve accidents and emergencies, S-Cut has proven to be the best. For example, it helps us reduce the time it takes to get motorcyclists out of their leathers by as much as five minutes.
“If a patient has a fracture, using S-Cut means you don’t have to move the victim’s arms or legs to get their clothes open.”
ES Equipment’s S-Cut models include lighter versions, where weight and size is a consideration. For more information, visit the company's website.
