Graham Simons, Technical Manager, Fire Industry Association (FIA)

Biography:
Part of the Fire Industry Association technical services team, Graham's chief responsibility is the Fire Detection and Alarm Council.

Graham produced the FIA Best Practice Guide to Fire Safety, is a member of BSI, CEN and ISO work groups and represents the FIA at Euralarm, the association of European manufacturers and installers of fire and security systems.

Previously Graham was Regulatory Manager at Honeywell Life Safety, providing expertise on the international regulatory requirements of fire alarm equipment. Other experience included roles of quality manager, product manager, project manager and design engineer.

Outside of work Graham enjoys cooking, music, mountain walking and travel.
