Fire and Rescue Visitor FAQs


Q. Who can attend Fire & Rescue?
Anyone in the trade. Fire & Rescue is purely a trade event and NOT open to the public. Also, due to the nature of the exhibition, any person under the age of 16 will be refused entry.

 

Q. How can I register to attend the 2010 event?

Q. When will I receive my visitor badge? 
Your badge will be despatched approximately 3-4 weeks prior to the show.

 

Q. What should I do if the details on my badge are incorrect?
Simply visit the query desk onsite and we’ll get this amended.

 

Q. What if I have forgotten my badge when I arrive at the show?
Go to the main registration area and give the staff your name.  They will locate your details on the computer and issue you with a new badge.

 

Q. How can I register my colleagues?
Your colleagues can register online from March 2010 or they can complete the update form and be added to our database.  Alternatively you can call the ticket hotline from March 2010 onwards and request tickets for them, which they will need to complete and return.

 

Q. Can I register when I arrive?
Yes - just complete a registration form at the entrance.

 

Q. What happens if I don't receive my badge before the show?
In the unlikely event that you don't receive your name badge from us don't worry! You will receive an email the week before which will contain your unique reference number. Simply print off this email and bring it with you to the show where we will print you another badge. If you forget to print the email, just give your name at the registration desk and we will manually search for your details in order to print another badge.

By Road:
• Via M1 from South of Harrogate - M1 north to Junction 48. Join the A1M northbound. Take the A661 Wetherby junction and follow A661 to Harrogate or carry on to A59 Knaresborough/Harrogate junction - stay on A59 through Knaresborough to Harrogate.

• Via A1 From South or North - A1 to Wetherby exit - 9 miles to Harrogate (A661) or A1 to Knaresborough exit - 9 miles to Harrogate (A59)

• From the West - (including Manchester airport) M56 to M63 to M62 Junction 29 taking the M1 northbound to Junction 48 to merge with the A1M. Travel north taking the Wetherby turning using the A661 to Harrogate or carry on to A59 Knaresborough/Harrogate junction - stay on A59 through Knaresborough to Harrogate

• From the East - (Hull area) From Hull take the M62 to Junction 29. Take M1 northbound then merge with A1M taking the Wetherby turning using the A661 to Harrogate or carry on to A59 Knaresborough/Harrogate junction - stay on A59 through Knaresborough to Harrogate

• From the East - (York/Scarborough) A64 to York - A1237 around north of York and A59 to Harrogate via Knaresborough

 

By Rail:

Q. Is there parking at the venue?
There are 300 car parking spaces at the Harrogate International Centre. The charges are as follows:
• Up to 3 hrs - £4.00 
• Up to 6 hrs - £7.50
• Up to 12 hours - £11.50
• Up to 24 hrs  - £13.00

Q. Is there a cloakroom for bags and coats?
Cloakrooms are situated inside Hall M.

 

Q. Can I bring children?
Children are not permitted to attend the exhibition due to the nature of exhibits on display.  The Organisers reserve the right to refuse entry into the event.

 

Q. I am a student, am I able to attend the event?
Students are permitted entry to Fire & Rescue via prior arrangement only. Please email Gemma Allkins for further information and guidelines.

 

Q. What time do doors open?
The halls open for visitors at 10.00am on both days.

 

Q. Where can I eat?
There are a number of catering facilities located throughout the exhibition centre.

 

Q. Is there a cashpoint?
There is a cashpoint located just out side the exhibition centre.
