International Firex Case Study Questions: Cooper Fulleon

• Why do you exhibit at International Firex?
International Firex is a great opportunity for our customers old and new to see the full range of products on offer and for us to highlight opportunities in different markets that may not have previously been considered. It also gives us the opportunity to offer a lot of expertise in one place. So, projects that, through diary commitments, may have required numerous meetings, can be addressed at International Firex, and solutions can be offered there-and-then, speeding up the decision making process for our customers.

• When and how do you begin to prepare for International Firex?
Preparation starts around 9 months before  the show. Internal meetings are held to consider the theme and style of the show. We start to sketch out what we want to show, what we think will be interesting to attendees of the show, and we consider the stand build and who will help us develop and build the stand.
At around 4 months to go, we start to firm up the details - what will go where - and we brief the design agency. With 2 months to go, we start to consider the communication and the messages: we brief our sales team and start telling customers where our stand will be located. Marketing material for the event is designed and developed and we have a good idea on the final outcome of the stand.
In the last month, we talk in detail with our team on the stand, developing the protocols sorting out the hygiene factors, lunches, time on stand, briefings etc. Then, it's suddenly the day before International Firex, which means last-minute checks to ensure everything is in its place.

• What can visitors expect to see and learn when they visit your stand this year?
The first thing that we hope visitors will notice is the size and scope of the Cooper Safety business, of which Fulleon is a key part. This year, we have looked at our range by market rather than product group. We are hoping to show the many diverse markets of visitors that our products operate from industrial through to marine. Our Radio Fire Alarm system will be in pride of place, with new product developments that compete the range, making it suitable for a wide range of applications, with the associated reduction in disruption and savings in installation time.

• What do you most enjoy about the International Firex experience?  How would you describe the event to someone who has never attended before?
There are few opportunities to get so many suppliers and customers under one roof. However, I would recommend that visitors plan their day - decide what you must see and would like to see, and make appointments beforehand to ensure you get the time and attention you need.

• And finally, who would you most like to see on your stand and what would your opening question to them be?
We would like to see anyone who is interested in developing their business with a manufacture who cares passionately for the safety of the environment and those around them. We want to build relationships where we can utilise our extensive expertise to their benefit. Our opening question would be "How can we help you make a difference?"
