Fire Conferences & Exhibitions Ltd (FCEL) are pleased to invite you to join them in Harrogate in 2010. The 2010 conference, entitled ‘Leading a lean and effective Fire & Rescue Service’ will take place in the Royal Hall of the Harrogate International Centre.

2010 is certain to deliver a changing environment for the Fire & Rescue Industry. The Fire & Rescue Conference in 2010 will deliver a forum for information and debate for the important issues currently facing the fire industry.

Conference Programme

A number of high profile speakers will attend conference including John Bonney, Chief Fire Officer Hampshire Fire & Rescue Service and President of the Chief Fire Officers Association and Matt Wrack, General Secretary of the Fire Brigades Union who will speak alongside the Fire Minister of the day. Government, Industry and Academic leaders will also join the debate including Professor Tony Travers from the London School of Economics, Shona Dunn Director for the Fire and Resilience Directorate in Communities and Local Government and Kieran Timmins Director of Finance Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service who will discuss how the Fire Industry deals with changes in the current financial climate.

Conference will also look at the current environment from a sustainability prospective and the possibility of future-proofing the industry. With a number of recent high profile events member of the London Fire Brigade and Local Authority Building Control will be joined by Wilf Butcher, CEO Association of Specialist Fire Protection to speak on the built environment. Metro Chiefs President, Bob Hendricks will provide an overseas insight into dealing with the built environment.

Social Events

This year FCEL is pleased to be hosting a Welcome Reception on the eve of the Conference. Free to conference delegates the event will include a raffle and auction in aid of the Fire Fighters Charity.

In addition to this all Conference ticket packages include a ticket to the FIRE & RESCUE Networking Event on Tuesday 29th June which will give delegates and exhibitors alike the opportunity to network and discuss pressing issues of the day. The evening will take place at the Royal Baths Chinese Restaurant and will include a hot buffet meal for all guests.
