Biography:

Colin Todd graduated in physics followed by a masters degree in fire engineering. 

In 1982, he founded the independent consulting practice, C. S. Todd and Associates, which is now one of the leading fire safety consulting practices in the UK.  The practice provides consulting in all aspects of fire safety, fire protection and fire engineering. 

Colin is frequently appointed as an expert witness in prosecution, defence and civil litigation cases.  For many years he has  been involved in the drafting of national standards, including a number of commonly used British Standards. 

In 2011, he led the team within the practice that drafted the new national guidance on fire safety in existing purpose-built blocks of flats.
