Show your support for our brave UK fire fighters by taking part in a Charity golf day!
Fire fighters are heroes, risking their lives to save others but sadly they often sustain physical injuries whilst carrying out their duties. The Fire Fighters Charity helps fire fighters when they need it most, providing vital support services to help them recover from injury, surgery or illness, so they can get back to their job of saving lives.
It costs over £9 million every year to keep the Charity running, and with no government funding, we are completely reliant upon donations and fundraising, so your support is very much needed.
By taking part in The Fire Fighters Charity annual golf day, not only will you be helping injured fire fighters but you will have the opportunity to play on a fantastic course with five par three holes!
Taking place on 28th June 2010 at Oakdale Golf Cub in Harrogate, the day will take the format of ‘Texas Scramble’ with each team consisting of four players, including one Chief Fire Officer, or senior fire service personnel.
The day is set to be a great day for keen golfers and beginners alike, and will end with an evening presentation including prizes, a raffle and an auction.
